Located in Mile End, the Pragati Sangha Temple is home to many families gathering for Holi; a yearly spring festivity celebrating the goddess Krishna. A hill of shoes next to the entrance, dresses of all colours, and chimerical voices singing around an Indian harmonium carries you away beyond the Arabian Sea. But the dreamlike journey suddenly stops when, between two traditional songs, Spotify ads takes you back to London.
